Minister Vickram Bharrat underscored that Guyana currently stands as one of two nations considered pivotal hotspots within the energy sector. Nevertheless, he emphasized the stark contrast in the developmental trajectory, with Guyana distinctly outpacing Namibia, the other designated hotspot. Guyana is set to achieve a production rate comfortably averaging 600 000 barrels per day. This is indicative of advancements since the preceding energy conference, where output ranged between 380 000 to 390 000 barrels per day. On a grand scale, the Guyana Energy Conference and Supply Chain Expo will witness the presence of Prime Ministers from Qatar, Trinidad and Tobago, and The Bahamas, alongside the heads of state of Suriname and the Dominican Republic. With the overarching theme, "Fueling Transformation and Modernisation," this year's expo aims to reveal the essence of transformative processes within the energy sector.
