ExxonMobil Supplier Forum created linkages and inspiration to local businesses-Routledge
ExxonMobil Guyana and its prime contractors have engaged more than 2000 individuals at the recently concluded supplier forum in Region Three. The two day event, which was led by the Centre for Local Business Development (CLBD) was intended to provide an update on ongoing activities, plans for the future and the process for involvement.
President of ExxonMobil Guyana, Alistair Routledge announced recently that more than 800 participants attended the event on November 8 and over two thousand including students participated on Day 2.
"This is a wonderful level of interest from Guyanese to be involved not only in oil and gas but the business sector, Routledge expressed. "The forum helped to create linkages and inspiration for future business ideas as well providing interest in STEM education."
The CLBD was established in 2017 to help build the capacity of local businesses to meet international standards and compete on a global scale in the evolving Guyanese economy. Since then, more than 5000 persons have participated in oil and gas seminars and another 400 have undergone HSSE programmes.
