CEOGS 2022 presents the Caribbean as Prime Energy Frontier

Once known as the Caribbean Oil & Gas Virtual Summit (CARIVS), the overhaul to Caribbean Energy, Oil & Gas Summit (CEOGS) was conceived with the objective to orient the Caribbean region as a prime energy frontier. This two-day summit, held December 7-8, 2022 at the Hyatt Regency, Port-of-Spain, welcomed over 1000 visitors from nearly 15 countries. CEOGS 2022, featured approximately 40 exhibitors with 20 sponsors from varying industries. Among 30+ speakers, Dr. Vishnu Doerga, Chairman, ActionINVEST Caribbean Inc. (ACI), and Anuskha Sonai, ACI’s Suriname partner and Founder/President of Creative Technology Hub Caribbean, participated. Respectively, they spoke on the efficiency and sustainability of energy in Guyana and Suriname, and empowering local content, particularly human capital development in the Caribbean economy's diversification. Other panelists included those in sessions related to local content requirements in the Caribbean region, emerging technologies for energy operations, upstream technology and trends, infrastructure, transportation and storage and trade-driven regional integration. Having brought together key industry stakeholders - businesses operating within oil and gas, government ministries and agencies, and investors in order to discuss new policy considerations, learn about open market opportunities, and interregional collaboration. To strengthen the industry value chain system, CEOGS 2022 explored popular innovative models employed in the energy sector, advanced energy technology, hydrocarbon discovery, strategic imperatives of oil and gas, clean energy solutions, and business offerings to potential investors.
