ActionINVEST Caribbean Inc.: One of 30 Companies Awarded for HSSE Systems

In 2022, 30 companies were awarded certification after having completed the HSSE Management System (MS) Mentorship Programme offered by the Centre for Local Business Development (CLBD). Among these companies is ActionINVEST Caribbean Inc., an an ISO 9001:2015 Certified Educational Institution and Business Development Company of Guyanese origin benefitting from female ownership and leadership. Committed to becoming the "Caribbean’s Solution to Professional & Organizational Growth," this entity delivers business coaching, consulting and other business development solutions. CLDB’s mentorship programme began in 2019, and has since trained 250 companies in the building of HSSE management systems with strong core elements and benefits of implementation. The MS process which commences with an awareness seminar, is discussed through individual consultations with the Centre’s HSSE experts. This enables organisations to discuss their HSSE strategies after which an MS system is developed to suit the framework of those strategies. The CLBD offers feedback on their HSSE documentation, organisational practices, and work environment for review. The HSSE documents are graded, after which the CLBD conducts a site visit for verification of the HSSE documents and recommends further measures for implementation of the HSSE MS, and the adjustment of the HSSE manual. Upon full execution, the respective organisation receives a letter of completion.
